Envy
Pale green form

smokestacks you see them from the car

pines are like clerics

in this scene

the scarf is negative and orange

lights

the road even in January

sweet pearls of ice

I wonder why these caravans

pass us by

loaded with

corn, guns.

The word spectre

on the marquee

in a small town

a square red town in the night

where children go

in blue robes

the sweet, chilly dead

perfectly photographed

edge

makes black flowers look at us.

Jeweled Fifties Bee
First you had the audacity

oh bird

bringing

some kind of

Braque broken

on book

with cup and saucer

and fried egg

boxing. A bee may

stutter and columns

abbreviate.

Light in to lamps,

cup around coffee

a hand distills

the petal the

stem threw away.

The Hidden Staircase
Raw or dressed, behind

dark glasses

Male

ceremonials

Clothing and bookbinding

To prevent straying

Collect in a hive and lymph nodes

Oh, small old world falcon

Take the horse nearest the door

Form high magnetic compounds

The American movie picture industry.

Sea cucumber in crystal bonds.
